AVIA AERO, LLC RVSM height monitoring flights

RVSM airspace in North America, Europe and other regions around the world helps save fuel and reduce flight-level congestion by providing six additional flight levels between 29,000 and 41,000 feet.  AVIA AERO, LLC provide RVSM monitoring services to an increasing number of business aviation operators, to satisfy the requirements for RVSM approval. Flight departments can rely on our trusted service to provide you with monitoring results in as little as 14 days, saving time and money. With this prompt service you can avoid waiting for the FAA to post monthly results calculated from an AGHME flyover, Following your monitoring flight you will also receive a confirmation letter verifying its completion.

RVSM height monitoring services

To verify that altitude-keeping systems are compliant with RVSM requirements, AVIA AERO uses a portable Enhance Global Positioning System (GPS)-based monitoring system (E2GMU) developed by the FAA specifically for RVSM monitoring.

Europe, North, Central and South America

An AVIA AERO RVSM specialist will bring the portable GMU, which is about the size of a briefcase, on board the aircraft prior to the flight. Dual GPS antennas are installed with suction cups on cabin or cockpit windows to acquire GPS satellite telemetry. The monitoring flight requires approximately 30 minutes of straight and level flight between FL290 and FL410. Our staff specialists then process the collected data by applying differential corrections to the raw GMU GPS flight data and then submit it to the FAA Technical Center for review.

The FAA Technical Center computes the Altimetry System Error (ASE) Rating which is then used to determine RVSM airspace certification.  AVIA AERO, LLC also works closely with the Caribbean and South American Monitoring Agency (CARSAMMA) and forwards GMU altimetry data for processing.
